Terms of use

These terms are between you and emlinhax, the operator of crowbot, in Germany. They are governed by German law, and the courts of Germany hear disputes about them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection the law of your own country gives you.
The service
crowbot is an OpenAI-compatible API, and a web chat on top of it, for third-party models and our own CROW models. You pay in advance and each request is charged from your balance.
Your account
- Your account number is your only credential. Anyone who has it can use your balance, so keep it private.
- We cannot recover a lost account number, or the balance behind it.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account panel.
Prices
Each request is charged per million tokens at the price published on the models page when the request is made. Prices can change. A change applies to requests made after it, never to credit already spent.
Acceptable use
You may not use crowbot:
- to create, request or distribute sexual content involving minors;
- to attack people or systems without their consent (security testing needs the target's permission);
- for fraud or phishing, including scams and impersonating others to deceive people;
- for anything illegal where you are or where we are.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules, without refund.
What the models say
Model output can be wrong, and it is not advice. You are responsible for how you use it. As between you and us, you own the output you receive.
Availability
The API may be down or unstable; we promise no level of uptime.
Liability
Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. This does not limit liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, in particular for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use crowbot after a change means you accept it.
